The person behind it
Apex is a one-person web design studio, built on a mix of business thinking and design skill you don't often find in one place. I design and build websites for small businesses and independent brands — the kind of sites that look sharp, load fast and actually bring customers through the door.
I studied Business Technology at Ulster University — a degree that sits right at the intersection of how businesses actually operate and how technology can serve them. That's the lens I bring to every site I build: not just what looks good, but what's structured to support real business outcomes, whether that's bookings, enquiries, or sales.
I spent 5+ years in business consultancy with one of the world's leading professional services firms, working with organisations on strategy and performance at a serious level. That background shapes how I approach every project — asking the right questions before building anything, so the finished site does a job for your business rather than just existing.
I started Apex because too many small businesses face the same choice: an expensive agency, or a generic template that looks like everyone else's. There's a better middle ground — a site built around your brand and your goals, backed by real business thinking, at a price that makes sense.
Every project gets the same process: understand the business, design something that fits it, and build a site that's fast, mobile-optimised, and set up to perform well in search. No subscriptions, no lock-in.
A quick call or message. You tell me about your business and what the site needs to do.
I share a design direction, you give feedback, then I build it. You see progress along the way — no disappearing for weeks.
Live on your domain, tested on phones and desktops, with everything handed over to you.
Sound good?
